Harris’s love for music began in his home in the Bronx, NY where the sounds of his grandfather’s alto saxophone and New York's storied music traditions of bebop and hip-hop consumed him. His early immersion into such a diverse and premier level of music not only contributed to his career as a musician but also developed his distinguished taste for music curation.
As the Program Director of the Louis Armstrong House Museum, Bruce Harris brings his extensive experience to curating vibrant musical experiences. He directed programming for renowned venues and events, including the Norwood Club, Slate, Chelsea Living Room, Casa Cipriani, and the North Carolina Jazz Festival through his company, Pretty for the People. His work focused on creating seamless music programs that prioritized high-quality entertainment.
